David John Drew

taken from the artist's statement:

" In the exhibition ‘AMERAQ’ I have assembled a wide range of pictorial and visual comments on the current War on Terrorism, the
conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the development of international
security in response to these events since the 9/11 attacks on the
World Trade Center in New York. Broadly speaking the works revolve around the nature and subject of patriotism; what it is and is not, and the lengths to which many will go to prove their commitment to it as a moral value."

Drew is an accomplished and published graphic illustrator, writer, painter and general 'renaissance man' who also happens to be the husband of Kim Harrell, the owner of East End Applied Arts
